On February 18 and 20, the third and fourth stages of the “Miss University-2026” competition, devoted to the 105th anniversary of our University, were held.

On February 17, a guest popular science lecture “Sorrow, Glory and Love. Ukrainian Song” was held for the Ukrainian Choir in Valencia (Spain).

On February 20, the university management, together with teachers, students and university staff, representatives of local authorities and the public, honored the memory of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes.

A huge role in the development of our university in the 60s and 70s of the last century was played by its rector Vsevolod Hrygorovych Pichuhin (23.02.1911–04.08.1991), who would have turned 115 on February 23, 2026.

The Foreign Languages Department organized a meeting with Kseniia Shaparova, the teacher of English and German at the Gerhart Hauptmann School in Sohland, Germany.

On February 18, a guest online lecture was held on the topic “How to Build an Ethical and Successful Practice?”

Representatives of our university took part in the I stage of the VI Winter School “Internationalization of Higher Education”, which took place on February 12-14 at the Uzhhorod National University.

Foreign Languages Department participated in the online info session “Cyber Hygiene in the Daily Work of a Teacher: Simple Safety Rules”.

On February 13, Liudmyla Horbatiuk, Head of the Department of Economics and Marketing, held an advisory hour for the 1st-year students majoring in Marketing and 3rd-year students majoring in Economics.

On the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the university, the first stage of the “Miss University – 2026” – “Business Card” contest was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

Representatives of the University took part in a practical workshop dedicated to various aspects of developing competitive project proposals under the Horizon Europe programme.

During January, foreign students of the second (Master’s) level of higher education successfully passed their state examinations and defended their qualification theses.

On February 12, the solemn Olympic Flag Festival, dedicated to the XXV Winter Olympic Games and the 105th anniversary of the university, was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

On February 10, the Social Pedagogy Department began the implementation of the elective discipline “Youth Policy and Youth Work”.

A speech therapy office continues its work at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, which provides professional assistance to children with speech disorders.

On February 11, an orientation conference on practice was held at the Special Education Department of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology for 4th year bachelor’s students.

On February 10, the Associate Professor L. Varyanitsa, a lecturer at the Department of Early and Preschool Child Development, took part in the scientific and educational event “From Idea to Book: Children’s Literature and Traditional Types of Ukrainian Painting”.

Books about the defense of Luhansk airport were given to the library of LTSNU.
