Захід об’єднав представників Міністерства освіти і науки, провідних закладів вищої освіти України, наукових установ, органів державної влади, міжнародних організацій і проєктних офісів, а також представники European Union in Ukraine, Наукового комітету Національної ради України з питань розвитку науки і технологій, Національного фонду досліджень України, офісів Erasmus+ та «Горизонт Європа» в Україні, National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, Державної науково-технічної бібліотеки України, Національного агентства із забезпечення якості вищої освіти, Українського офісу дослідницької доброчесності та інших інституцій.

У роботі форуму взяли участь представники ДЗ «Луганський національний університет імені Тараса Шевченка»: начальник відділу міжнародних зв’язків, директор Інституту міжнародної освіти, доктор педагогічних наук, професор Ірина В. Мигович; керівник сектору міжнародної освіти відділу міжнародних зв’язків Людмила А. Овчарова.

Форум став майданчиком для фахового діалогу щодо: сучасних підходів до управління науковими проєктами; розвитку інституційної спроможності університетів у сфері грантової діяльності; впровадження міжнародних практик у сфері дослідницького менеджменту.

Програма форуму охоплювала три взаємопов’язані тематичні напрями: (1) «стратегічний вимір і професійна роль research project manager»: у центрі уваги були стратегічні питання розвитку системи дослідницького менеджменту, роль research project manager у сучасному університетському середовищі та міжнародні практики підтримки наукових досліджень; (2) «проєктні офіси та партнерства»: фокус на діяльність проєктних офісів, інструменти супроводу грантових заявок, міжнародні програми, а також механізми партнерської взаємодії між університетами, бізнесом і донорами; (3) «адміністрування, контроль і цифрові інструменти»: закцентовано увагу на адмініструванні наукових проєктів, бюджетуванні, моніторингу, використанні цифрових платформ та інформаційних систем для управління дослідницькою діяльністю.

Під час форуму були представлені практичні кейси українських університетів та міжнародних партнерів. Зокрема, йшлося про: досвід проєктних офісів; комерціалізацію результатів досліджень; розвиток дослідницької інфраструктури; забезпечення академічної доброчесності; застосування цифрових інструментів управління науковими проєктами. Окрему увагу учасників привернули презентації, присвячені функціям проєктних офісів у закладах вищої освіти, міжнародним грантовим програмам, а також використанню систем URIS для пошуку грантів, партнерів і супроводу дослідницьких проєктів.

Участь представників ЛНУ імені Тараса Шевченка у форумі сприяла розширенню професійних контактів, ознайомленню з актуальними міжнародними та національними підходами до research management, а також обміну досвідом щодо розвитку міжнародної проєктної діяльності університету.

National Forum “Research Project Manager: From Grant to Impact”

In Lviv, on May 21-23, 2026, the National Forum “Research Project Manager: From Grant to Impact” was held, focusing on current issues related to the development of research management, grant activities, international scientific cooperation, and support tools for research projects in Ukraine. The event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, leading higher education institutions of Ukraine, research institutions, governmental authorities, international organizations, and project offices, as well as representatives of the European Union in Ukraine, the Scientific Committee of the National Council of Ukraine for Science and Technology Development, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, the Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe Offices in Ukraine, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine, the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, the Ukrainian Research Integrity Office, and other institutions.

Representatives of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” participated in the forum, including: Iryna V. Myhovych, Head of the International Relations Office, Director of the Institute of International Education, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor; and Liudmyla A. Ovcharova, Head of the International Education Sector of the International Relations Office.

The forum became a platform for professional dialogue on: modern approaches to research project management; strengthening the institutional capacity of universities in the field of grant activities; and implementing international practices in research management.

The forum program covered three interconnected thematic areas: (1) “Strategic Dimension and the Professional Role of the Research Project Manager,” which focused on strategic issues related to the development of research management systems, the role of the research project manager in the modern university environment, and international practices for supporting research activities; (2) “Project Offices and Partnerships,” which highlighted the activities of project offices, tools for supporting grant applications, international programs, and mechanisms of partnership interaction between universities, businesses, and donors; (3) “Administration, Monitoring, and Digital Tools,” which emphasized the administration of research projects, budgeting, monitoring, and the use of digital platforms and information systems for managing research activities.

During the forum, practical case studies from Ukrainian universities and international partners were presented. In particular, the discussions addressed: the experience of project offices; commercialization of research results; development of research infrastructure; ensuring academic integrity; and the application of digital tools for managing research projects. Special attention was drawn to presentations devoted to the functions of project offices in higher education institutions, international grant programs, and the use of URIS systems for searching grants, partners, and supporting research projects.

Participation of representatives of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in the forum contributed to the expansion of professional contacts, familiarization with current international and national approaches to research management, and the exchange of experience regarding the development of the university’s international project activities.
