Довгоочікуваний захід знаної в Україні експертки синтезував також елементи лекції, наукової автопрезентації й воркшопу.

Гармонійно сформований із трьох гілок досліджень Лариси Михайлівни останніх років, її науковий, присвячений проблемам психології творчості та способам їх аналізу майстер-клас пов’язав ряд інноваційних і надзвичайно цікавих технологій осягнення художнього твору у площинах синтезу мистецтв, імагології та екокритичних студій у сенсі наближення і збереження природного. Особливий інтерес здобувачів освіти викликали питання перекодування мови літератури мовами інших мистецтв, передовсім музики й живопису. Відповідні закономірності в українській (творах Лесі Українки, Дніпрової Чайки, Євгенії Кононенко чи Ірен Роздобудько) та зарубіжній літературі (Томаса Манна, Ельфріде Елінек чи Гастона Леру) шановна професорка продемонструвала з залученням актуальних літературознавчих, філософських та культурологічних концепцій. Внутрішня логіка сучасного твору як основний імператив для митця була блискуче показана також на прикладі трансформацій у сучасному тексті фольклорних основ, умовної автономності життя героя і персонажа. Глибоке враження справили на авдиторію оригінально проінтерпретовані закладені красним письменством попередження про небезпеку виключно техногенного розвитку нашої цивілізації, а також проблематика сучасних імагологічних студій, зокрема в образами українця та українки в нових соціокультурних умовах різних національних культур.

Актуалізацією класики в новому профілі, ознайомленням із новим художнім матеріалом та науковим апаратом для його аналізу у тісному зв’язку з традицією, створеною атмосферою довіри серед однодумців – фахівців і майбутніх експертів, доступно презентованим власним досвідом студіювання зі спектром корисних алгоритмів здійснення досліджень проведений майстер-клас відзначається з-поміж заходів свого типу.

MASTER CLASS BY PRO FESSOR LARYSA MYKHAILIVNA HORBOLIS

At the invitation of the Department of Literary Studies and Oriental Philology, on April 24. 2026, Larysa Horbolis –Doctor of Philological Sciences and Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language and Literature at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko—conducted a professional master class for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students of Luhansk National University named after Taras Shevchenko. The session, titled "Innovative Paths in Literary Studies: Ecocriticism – Imagology – Interartistic Space," was a long-awaited event by one of Ukraine’s renowned experts, synthesizing elements of a lecture, scholarly presentation, and practical workshop.

Harmoniously structured around three branches of Professor Horbolis’s recent research, the master class focused on the psychology of creativity and methods of analysis. It connected several innovative technologies for interpreting literary works through the lenses of: The synthesis of arts; Imagology; Ecocritical studies (in the context of approaching and preserving the natural world).

Students showed particular interest in the "re-coding" of literary language into the languages of other arts, primarily music and painting. The Professor demonstrated these patterns in both Ukrainian literature (works by Lesya Ukrainka, Dniprova Chayka, Evheniya Kononenko, and Iren Rozdobudko) and foreign literature (Thomas Mann, Elfriede Jelinek, and Gaston Leroux), utilizing contemporary literary, philosophical, and cultural concepts.

The internal logic of a modern work as a primary imperative for the artist was brilliantly illustrated through the transformation of folkloric foundations in contemporary texts, as well as the conditional autonomy of the lives of protagonists and characters. The audience was deeply moved by the original interpretations of warnings embedded in "belles-lettres" regarding the dangers of an exclusively technogenic civilization. Furthermore, the session explored modern imagological studies, specifically the representation of Ukrainians within the new sociocultural conditions of various national cultures.

This master class stands out among similar events for its ability to update classical works through a new profile; introduce fresh artistic material and the scholarly apparatus needed for its analysis; maintain a close link with tradition; foster an atmosphere of trust among like-minded professionals and future experts.
