Open Lecture “Social Project in Latvia: From Idea to Reporting”
During the meeting, the speaker shared her experience in implementing social initiatives through funding from international grant projects, as well as useful tips on preparing project applications for grants from international donors: from forming an idea and seeking funding to preparing reporting and evaluating results. Particular attention was paid to practical aspects of grant writing, strategic planning, and the importance of preparing a project application.
Iryna Kalynovska also spoke about her professional path and experience working in Latvia, the role of social projects in supporting communities and developing civil society.
The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue: students and teachers asked questions about preparing grant applications and developing social initiatives in Ukraine and shared their own experience in preparing projects
“It was very useful to hear real examples of implementing social projects and understand what the whole process looks like — from the idea to the final report,” one of the students shared her impressions.
The open lecture was an opportunity for students to learn more about the European practice of implementing social projects, receive practical advice on preparing grant applications, and be inspired to develop their own ideas.
The Department of Philosophy and Sociology thanks the speaker for a meaningful and inspiring meeting and looks forward to further cooperation.
