“Paths of Shevchenko’s Destiny”
Every year on March 9-10, our country honors the memory of the Great Kobzar – Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko. These days remind us of the enormous contribution of the poet, artist, thinker and spiritual leader to the formation of national consciousness, culture and identity of the Ukrainian people.
Teachers and students of the Department of Early and Preschool Child Development of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology actively participated in the celebration of the 212th anniversary of the birth of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko. The event was an opportunity to deepen knowledge about the life and work of the Great Kobzar, his ideas, values and influence on Ukrainian culture.
For the 3rd year students of the specialty “Preschool Education”, the group leader Daryna Noskova prepared an interesting and informative presentation “Paths of Shevchenko’s Destiny”, which contained little-known facts from the poet’s life. Attention was paid to the various facets of his talent – as an artist, writer, thinker, spiritual mentor, who always reminds us of our past, roots and independence. His word became the voice of freedom, dignity and the struggle for the right to be oneself, and his work – a source of inspiration for many generations of Ukrainians.
Special attention was paid to the fact that Shevchenko’s work and civic position remain extremely relevant today. His legacy inspires Ukrainians to unity, resilience and faith in victory, and also cultivates a sense of national dignity and responsibility for the future of our country.
Students and teachers of the department emphasize that honoring the memory of Taras Shevchenko is not only a tribute to history, but also an important component of the formation of patriotic values in the younger generation, fostering love for their native language, culture and traditions. This event became a symbol that the memory of the Great Kobzar lives in our hearts and the hearts of new generations of Ukrainians.
