Study Visit to Valencia as Part of the Erasmus+ BEAUCOUP Project
The study visit and working meetings took place at the Universitat Politècnica de València (Polytechnic University of Valencia), Spain. The university staff members responsible for updating educational components as part of the project took part in the visit:
Nataliia Mordovtseva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Primary Education;
Mariia Pochynkova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Primary Education;
Yaroslava Yurkiv, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Social Pedagogy Department.
The visit was aimed at strengthening cooperation between partner institutions, gaining insight into advanced European experience in the digitalisation of higher education, and introducing innovative technological solutions into the educational process.
The five-day programme was particularly intensive and developed progressively. The official start of the mission was marked by a working-group meeting devoted to introductions, a presentation of the project objectives, and a discussion of the current challenges facing the digital transformation of partner universities. This laid a solid foundation for further productive cooperation.
On the second day, participants became thoroughly acquainted with the host institution’s infrastructure, visited modern university laboratories, and explored advanced platforms for blended learning, cloud services, and educational data analytics. The programme then continued with intensive workshops and panel discussions focusing on cybersecurity in the educational environment, personal-data protection, compliance with cyber-hygiene standards, and the creation of an inclusive digital space.
The fourth day focused on strategic planning, the development of a roadmap for further BEAUCOUP project initiatives, and measures to ensure the long-term sustainability of the results achieved. The visit concluded with a review of the week’s work, a summary of the outcomes, a discussion of plans for the next stages, and a formal certificate-awarding ceremony.
The implementation of such international initiatives contributes to improving the quality of professional training, enhancing distance and blended learning, and strengthening the position of Ukrainian universities within the European higher education area.
