Students of the Secondary Education (History and Civic Education) Programme Attended Meeting with SkillSprint Representatives
SkillSprint works with university students and implements professional internship programmes abroad. According to the centre, over the years of its operation, students from Ukraine have completed internships in countries including Bulgaria, Germany, and Austria. The opportunities offered to participants include gaining professional experience, developing language skills, and building intercultural communication competencies.
For students of the Secondary Education (History and Civic Education) programme, the meeting was particularly valuable as an opportunity to learn about international professional mobility and additional opportunities for professional development.
It was important for students to understand what opportunities can complement their university education: international experience, practice in foreign-language communication, work in a multicultural environment, and the development of competencies that can be applied in their future professional careers.
Students’ participation in such events also reflects the programme’s commitment to international experience and to expanding the professional environment of future teachers of history and civic education. Direct communication with representatives of organisations working with international youth programmes enables students to obtain information about opportunities that can be difficult to fully present within the framework of classroom-based education alone.
We thank the Foreign Languages Department for organising the meeting and providing students with an opportunity to engage with the international professional environment and learn about current opportunities available to young people.
