It was here, on the Alley of Memory of the Liquidators, that a joint cleaning was carried out on the eve of the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy. Students, side by side with Chernobyl residents, removed last year's leaves, raked up dry branches, collected garbage - tidying up the place, which is a symbol of deep respect and grateful memory of the heroes who gave their health and lives, saving the world from the consequences of the nuclear disaster.

This joint work has become not only a contribution to the improvement of the territory, but also an important act of unity of generations, a living connection between those who survived the tragedy and the youth who preserve the memory of the feat of the liquidators.

Members of the LMGOI "Chernobyl Veterans" sincerely thank the leadership of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University for their help, fruitful cooperation, support and active participation of students in such initiatives, as well as for the sincere desire of the university community to be there - both on weekdays and on days of commemoration.
