On May 21, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University solemnly and inspiringly celebrated World Vyshyvanka Day — a holiday that annually unites Ukrainians around the world around one of the most valuable symbols of our national identity, spirituality, and cultural heritage.

A student and a teacher from our university installed a modern Smartcitizen air quality sensor in Myrhorod as part of an environmental study, which is already operational and integrated into a pan-European scientific platform.

The Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology of the Faculty of Natural and Agrarian Sciences held a preliminary defense of qualification theses for bachelor's students majoring in "Ecology", "Forestry" and "Landscape Gardening".

On May 15, 2026, the pre-defense of qualifying bachelor's theses of students majoring in 061 "Journalism" was held at the Department of Ukrainian Language and Journalism of LTSNU.

On May 15, the Poltava Region Open Athletics Championship among boys and girls born in 2009–2012, juniors, adults, and veterans of the XXXIII generation was held at the Volodymyr Malykh Central Stadium, as well as the traditional tournament in memory of the director of the Children's and Youth Sports School of the Lubny Territorial Community, Volodymyr Semenets.

Honorary certificates were awarded from the Poltava Regional Military Administration.
