As part of the preparation for the final of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works among the 10-11th grade pupils of secondary education institutions "Ukraine - a space for dialogue between East and West", held under the patronage of the Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Olena KARAMAN, an important working meeting was held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine, Mr. Ma Shengkun, and members of the organizing committee: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Social Pedagogy Larysa DANYLCHUK, as well as PhD candidates Olena ZAKHARCHENKO and Vsevolod DANYLCHUK.

During the dialogue, the prospects for further development of scientific and educational cooperation and the possibility of involving representatives of the Chinese side in the organization and jury of the competition were discussed.

Special attention was paid to the importance of intercultural dialogue, support for young scientists and the formation of a platform for the exchange of ideas between Ukraine and the PRC, given that LTSNU has long traditions of professional and scientific training of students from China.

At the same time, the scientific interests of LNU students include problems that reveal the vectors of development of the PRC. At the moment, Olena ZAKHARCHENKO is investigating the problem of socio-legal support for motherhood and childhood in China, Vsevolod DANYLCHUK - the problem of forming a cross-cultural picture of the world of future translators (in the triad: Ukrainian - English - Chinese).

The meeting was an important step in strengthening international partnership and confirmed the common desire to develop educational diplomacy and scientific cooperation.
