Meetings of Project (Working) Groups
On March 30, the Department of Primary Education of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology held a meeting of project (working) groups dedicated to making changes to the educational programs of the specialty A3 "Primary Education" of the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education.
In the process of improving the educational programs, the guarantors of the EP - Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Dmytro UZHCHENKO and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Primary Education Nataliia MORDOVTSEVA - ensured that the recommendations and comments provided by the Sectoral Expert Council (GER) during the accreditation procedures were taken into account. This allowed to improve the quality of educational programs, ensure their compliance with modern requirements and requests of the educational environment.
Particular attention was paid to harmonizing the content of the programs with the regulatory framework. In particular, when updating the educational components, the key provisions were taken into account:
State Standard of Primary Education (dated February 21, 2018 No. 87 as amended and updated on December 26, 2025 No. 1810);
Professional Standard "Teacher of a General Secondary Education Institution" (dated August 29, 2024 No. 1225);
Higher Education Standards in the specialty 013 "Primary Education" for bachelor's and master's levels.
An important decision was the removal of the professional qualification "teacher of a higher education institution" from the master's level educational program, since its assignment contradicted the volume of the program of 90 ECTS credits and did not correspond to its main focus.
Separately, the participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of systematically reviewing and updating the content of educational programs. Such work is an integral part of the internal education quality assurance system, as it allows for constant monitoring of the extent to which educational programs meet modern requirements, professional standards and the needs of education seekers, as well as ensuring a high level of educational services.
An important component of the process of updating educational programs has been the participation of employers, students and other interested parties. Their proposals and recommendations contribute to increasing the practical orientation of the programs, ensuring their relevance and compliance with the real needs of modern primary education.
Updating educational programs is aimed at forming the key and professional competencies necessary for the effective activity of a modern primary school teacher, able to work in the conditions of educational reform and the implementation of innovative approaches to learning.
The results of the work of project groups will become the basis for further improvement of the educational process and ensuring high quality training of specialists in the field of primary education.
