Event on Grant Opportunities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and the Horizon Europe Programme
On April 28-29, 2026, an information event titled “Grant Opportunities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and Support Tools within the Horizon Europe Programme” was held in Poltava in a hybrid format. Representatives of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities – Associate Professors Yuliia Nuzhna** and Svitlana Perova – took part in the event.
The purpose of the event was to familiarize the academic community with current opportunities for grant support, mechanisms for participation in competitions of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, as well as support tools offered by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme, which opens new prospects for Ukrainian scholars, educators, and research teams.
Over the course of two days, participants had the opportunity to attend presentations by leading specialists of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, representatives of the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, and experts in the fields of science, innovation, grant management, and financial and legal support for research projects. Particular attention was paid to the practical aspects of preparing grant applications, working with the Funding and Tenders portal, organizational support for projects — from application submission to reporting — as well as opportunities for Ukrainian researchers to participate in the calls of the Horizon Europe Work Programme for 2026.
The participation of the associate professors of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in this event is an important component of strengthening the faculty’s research activities, developing international project initiatives, and fostering a culture of grant work within the university environment. The information gained will contribute to expanding opportunities for preparing high-quality research initiatives, participating in national and international competitions, and involving the faculty in relevant scientific and educational programmes.
The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities continues to actively support the participation of its academic staff in events aimed at developing research potential, academic mobility, international cooperation, and the integration of Ukrainian science into the European Research Area.
