Lecturer from the Social Pedagogy Department Joins Training Team Preparing Supervisors for Social Service Providers
The event is organised as part of the project “Strengthening the Professional Development System and Competencies of Social Service Workers”, implemented by the NGO League of Social Workers of Ukraine in partnership with UNICEF Ukraine, in cooperation with the National Social Service of Ukraine and with financial support from the Government of Sweden.
Svitlana Tuntueva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor at the Social Pedagogy Department of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, has joined the team of trainers.
Following a competitive selection process, 27 participants were admitted to the training programme. Upon completion, they will have the opportunity to work in regional training pairs alongside trainers from regional social service centres and to participate in preparing new supervisors in local communities.
The training programme consists of two consecutive modules. The first focuses on the theoretical and practical foundations of supervision, its role and functions in the professional activities of social sector workers, ethical principles, and the organisation of the supervision process.
The second module aims to develop the training competencies required to effectively transfer knowledge, build practical skills and subsequently train future supervisors.
Svitlana Tuntueva's participation in the training team represents an important recognition of the professional expertise of the academic staff of the Department of Social Pedagogy and their contribution to the modernisation of Ukraine's social services system.
