The speaker of the event was psychotherapist, sexologist Volodymyr KARACHEVTSEV.

The topic of the meeting was “Desire and Arousal (from experience working with military personnel and their family members)”.

The webinar was attended by over 130 people – scientists, psychologists, social workers and students from different regions of Ukraine. Traditionally, teachers, bachelors, masters and postgraduates of the Social Pedagogy Department majoring in “Social Work” and “Social Work and Counseling” of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University joined the event.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the practical aspects of working with the topics of sexuality, desire and arousal in conditions of increased stress, in particular in the context of military experience. Special attention was paid to the issues of psychological support for military personnel and their families, restoration of emotional contact in a couple, as well as overcoming barriers in communication on sensitive topics.

The webinar became a platform for professional exchange of experience, discussion of current challenges of social work and search for effective tools to help clients in modern conditions.
