A Path to Success: Career Guidance for Health and Sport Students
During the meeting, Larysa Kochura spoke about the activities of the Career Development Center, its key objectives, and the opportunities it offers students. Particular attention was paid to professional self-determination, career planning, finding a first job, and preparing to enter the labor market.
Participants learned about current labor-market trends, employers’ expectations of young professionals, the importance of developing both professional and soft skills, and the need to continually improve their knowledge and competencies. The speakers also discussed opportunities to receive career consultations, assistance with preparing resumes, and interview preparation.
Inna Tiutiunnyk, Consultant at the “Made in Ukraine” Office of the Lubny Branch of the Poltava Regional Employment Center, introduced students to the services provided by the employment service and the opportunities available to young people when searching for employment.
Particular attention was given to the updated conditions of the government’s “Own Business” program, which offer opportunities for young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 25. Young people can receive financial support to start or expand their own businesses. Inna Tiutiunnyk emphasized that the initiative is intended to provide young people not only with start-up capital but also with comprehensive expert support.
Specialists from the Lubny Branch are ready to provide free assistance at every stage - from detailed business-plan calculations and proper preparation of documents to staff recruitment and obtaining vouchers for professional training.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of open dialogue. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive practical advice from specialists. Events of this kind help young people develop a conscious approach to their professional development, better understand employment opportunities, and build their own career paths with greater confidence.
