LTSNU Marks Ukrainian Statehood Day
The event was led by Vitalii Holovko, Head of the Lubny branch of the NGO Zakhyst Derzhavy ("Defence of the State"). The meeting was organized at his initiative with the support of Olena Karaman, Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
During the event, participants discussed the origins of Ukrainian statehood, its historical development, the significance of the national symbols, the role of citizens in building a strong and independent Ukraine, and the contemporary challenges facing the country. Particular attention was given to the importance of national unity, patriotism, and the responsibility of every Ukrainian for the country's future.
The meeting took place in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, fostering an open dialogue and lively discussion. Students and staff had the opportunity to ask questions, share their perspectives, and receive thoughtful and comprehensive answers from the speaker.
Events like this are an important component of national and civic education for young people. They help foster active citizenship, deepen appreciation of Ukrainian statehood, and strengthen a sense of personal responsibility for Ukraine's future.
We sincerely thank Vitalii Holovko for an engaging and insightful meeting, as well as for his productive cooperation with Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. LTSNU will continue to support initiatives aimed at promoting patriotic education, preserving historical memory, and upholding the national values that form the foundation of a strong and independent Ukraine.
