On May 7, 2026, postgraduate students majoring in "Social Work" and "Social Work and Counseling" took part in a webinar on the topic "Dissertations: from Writing to Analysis", which was held at the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine.

The speakers of the event were Meinhard Kettler (Clarivate), Iryna Tikhonkova (Clarivate) and Tetiana Yaroshenko (State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine).

During the webinar, participants received practical recommendations and modern tools for effective work on dissertation research at all stages of its preparation. In particular, the issues of organizing work on a dissertation, analyzing scientific topics, methods and modern research trends, using analytical tools to support scientific research, presenting the results of dissertation work to the scientific community, as well as the features of placing dissertations in the PQDTGlobal database were considered.

The speakers paid special attention to working with leading information and analytical resources, including: Web of Science, ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Citation Index, and PQDT Global.

Participation in the webinar contributed to the expansion of postgraduate students' research competencies, familiarization with modern international scientometric resources, and improvement of the quality of effective work on the dissertation at all stages of its preparation.
