On June 13, 2026, representatives of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in the solemn presentation of the Poltava Region Action Council. The event began with a minute of silence in memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine and the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, uniting active representatives of various spheres around a common goal - the development of the region, strengthening communities and enhancing the potential of the region.

The Council of Actions is a consultative and advisory body, which includes people with practical experience and a deep understanding of the needs of society: veterans, volunteers, entrepreneurs, educators, scientists, doctors, representatives of the public sector and local governments.

Petro Vorona, Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Professor of the Department of Public Service and Management of Educational Institutions of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Business, Management and Public Administration of LTSNU, and Head of the Poltava Regional Branch of the NGO "Defense of the State", was elected Chairman of the Council of Actions.

The main tasks of the Council include developing proposals on current issues of development of the Poltava region, supporting socially important projects, developing veteran policy and civic initiatives, as well as establishing effective interaction between the public, authorities, business, science and the educational environment.

The participation of representatives of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in the work of the Council of Actions opens up new opportunities for the development of partnerships, the implementation of joint social, educational and scientific projects, and also contributes to a more active involvement of the university community in solving the current challenges of the region. For LTSNU, this is another important step towards strengthening the role of the university as a powerful center of education, science and civil society, which not only trains highly qualified specialists, but also takes an active part in shaping the future of Ukraine.

We wish the Council of Actions successful work, effective decisions and implementation of initiatives that will contribute to the development of Poltava region, support its communities and strengthen Ukrainian statehood.
