During the meeting, the participants listened to a number of reports covering both humanitarian and natural science issues. In particular, literary critic, senior researcher of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Serhii Halchenko presented a study of the Taras Shevchenko archive fund, emphasizing its significance as the most complete collection of the poet's manuscript heritage. Senior researcher of the Lviv branch of the M. S. Hrushevskyi Institute of Ukrainian Archeography and Source Studies Andrii Feloniuk focused on the activities of historian Myron Korduba in the Shevchenko Scientific Society in the interwar period, and Professor Borys Bilynsky, grandson of Myron Korduba, highlighted the figure of Yevhenia Korduba, a colleague and wife of the scientist.
Modern scientific approaches were presented in a report by Professor of the Ivan Vakarchuk Department of Theoretical Physics of Lviv University, Khrystyna Hnatenko, dedicated to quantum programming and its potential for solving fundamental problems and practical applications. The Chief Researcher of the G. V. Karpenko Institute of Physics and Mechanics of the NAS of Ukraine, Professor Ihor Dmytrah, in his report outlined the scientific legacy of Volodymyr Panasyuk on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth.
The participants of the session also heard a report by the Head of the Department of Regulation of Cell Proliferation and Apoptosis of the Institute of Cell Biology of the NAS of Ukraine, Rostyslav Stoika, on the contribution of Ivan Holovatsky as the founder of the Biochemical Commission of the National Scientific and Technological University. The report was delivered by the Head of the Department of Biological and General Chemistry of the Stepan Gzhytskyi Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology, Professor Stepan Hrabovskyi.
Later, the participants of the meeting heard the results of the work of the sections, commissions and centers of the XXXVII Scientific Session of the Scientific and Technical School. The heads of the relevant departments presented the results of the developments, outlined the key areas of research and prospects for further activities. After the reports, the participants of the event joined the discussion of topical issues of the development of science and the role of the Scientific and Technical School in the modern intellectual space.
Previously, Valerii Oleksandrovych Kolesnikov took part in several scientific conferences organized by the Western Scientific Center of the NAS and the MES of Ukraine.
