Participation in an International Internship
In July 2026, Alina Valentynivna Medinska, a senior lecturer at the Foreign Languages Department, successfully completed a three-week international internship at the Center for Modern Approaches to Language and Media Studies CAVILAM – Alliance Française (Vichy, France) — one of the world leaders in the field of training and advanced training of foreign language teachers.
In addition to the intensive academic program, the interns were offered a number of activities for a deeper acquaintance with the historical and cultural heritage of France, intercultural communication between representatives of different peoples of the world, and ended with a reception for teachers at the Vichy City Hall.
Since the participants were able to independently shape the training program, our colleague focused on current methods and modern approaches in linguistic didactics. In particular, she mastered the following training modules:
the role of assessment in the educational process and increasing student motivation;
the use of elements of theatrical art in classes;
positive pedagogy;
modern techniques for teaching vocabulary and grammar;
methodology for creating educational podcasts;
the development of media literacy in the era of the rapid spread of artificial intelligence.
In addition to practical classes, the program included attending professional conferences and round tables, which provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues from all over the world. New knowledge, progressive methodological materials, and international experience will help significantly improve the quality of education, integrate innovations into the educational process, and increase the digital literacy of students.
“I express my deep gratitude to the Embassy of France in Ukraine (Ambassade de Franceen Ukraine), the French Institute in Ukraine (Institut français d’Ukraine), the brilliant team of CAVILAM – Alliance Française and its Director General Gregory Lasnat, as well as the Vichy City Hall for the impeccable organization of the internship, the inspiring atmosphere and the unique chance to become part of the international academic community. I am convinced that the continuous improvement of the teacher’s qualifications is a direct contribution to the quality of modern education, because we must learn throughout our lives in order to motivate and inspire our students,” Alina Valentynivna shared her impressions.
