Participation in the Kyiv Security Forum
Viktoriia Makarenko, a 4th year student majoring in History and Archaeology, took part in this international forum.
The forum became a powerful platform for strategic dialogue on key challenges of our time, including security risks, the transformation of the international order, hybrid threats, and the prospects for global stability. The participants discussed topical issues of war and peace, the role of international institutions in ensuring security, and new approaches to forming an effective system of collective security.
Distinguished guests included Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, Founder of the Invictus Games Foundation; Admiral Giuseppe Cavo DRAGONE, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee; General Sean CLANCEY, Chairman of the European Union Military Committee; Allan Pag CHRISTENSEN, Head of the European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine; Andrzej DUDA, President of Poland (2015–2025); Sir Richard Peter MOORE, KCMG (online) Head of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) (2020–2025); General Sean CLANCEY, Chairman of the European Union Military Committee.
Particular attention was paid to the challenges facing humanity in the 21st century, including military conflicts, information warfare, cyber threats, climate change and energy security. The speakers emphasized the need to consolidate the international community, strengthen partnerships between states, and find innovative solutions to ensure peace and stability.
The forum participants emphasized that Ukraine is today at the center of global security processes, demonstrating resilience and commitment to democratic values. The Kyiv Security Forum once again confirmed its status as an important international platform for discussing strategic issues and developing a common vision of the future world order.
Holding such an event in Ukraine is evidence of the high level of trust of the international community and recognition of the role of the state in shaping a new architecture of global security.
