Participation in the IV All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference
On April 20, 2026, faculty and students of the Department of Literary Studies and Oriental Philology participated in the IV All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation «Theory and Practice of Literary Text Analysis: Contemporary Research Vectors».
The event was hosted by the Faculty of History and Philology (Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literature) of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky (Odesa). The Department of Literary Studies and Oriental Philology of our university served as a co-organizer of the conference.
The Organizing Committee included representatives from Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University: Svitlana SHPETNA (PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Literary Studies and Oriental Philology) and Andrii HURDUZ (PhD in Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Literary Studies and Oriental Philology).
During the plenary and breakout sessions, the following researchers presented their high-level scientific findings: Olha KRYZHANOVSKA, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department ("Transformation of the Evangelical Imagery System in Contemporary Spanish-Language Literary Discourse"); Andrii HURDUZ, PhD in Philological Sciences, Associate Professor ("The Problem of Multiple Identity in the Novels of Sarah J. Maas"); Svitlana NEHODIAIEVA, PhD in Philological Sciences, Associate Professor ("Value Conflict and the Search for Ethical Decisions in Halyna Petrosanyak's Novel 'Villa Anemone': An Axiological Aspect"); Valeriia ZAPOTIEIEVA, second-cycle (Master's) student of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities ("Forms of Implementation of Sub-genre Models in Early Examples of the Mashup Novel", research supervisor: PhD, Assoc. Prof. Andrii Hurduz).
ОIn addition to the faculty, the scientific discussion was joined by postgraduate, Master's, and Bachelor's students. Participation in the conference provided an opportunity for young researchers to present their work and exchange experience with colleagues from other regions of Ukraine and abroad.
The cooperation between the Department of Literary Studies and Oriental Philology of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literature of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky contributes to the strengthening of scientific ties and the development of modern methodologies for literary text analysis.
