Participation in the Forum "From Diplomacy of Resistance to Diplomacy of Action"
The forum was organized by the Foreign Policy Council “Ukrainian Prism” in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine and the International Renaissance Foundation.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, analysts, journalists, and scholars took part in the event. During the forum, the annual “Foreign Policy in 2025” was presented, which was prepared by analysts of the Ukrainian Prism together with scholars and researchers of international relations from higher education institutions and think tanks. A total of 47 areas of Ukraine’s foreign policy were covered.
Ukrainian Prism has been preparing yearbooks since 2015, and this is truly a chronicle of multidimensional Ukrainian diplomacy, involving not only professional diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, but also deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, human rights activists, journalists, cultural figures, etc.
Director of Security Programs of Ukrainian Prism Anna Shelest presented the yearbook for 2025. After that, there were two panel discussions on updating the vision and strategy of Ukraine's foreign policy activities and new approaches to developing Ukraine's strategic communications in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Yehor Brailian had the opportunity to personally ask Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa about the role of temporarily occupied territories in Ukraine's foreign policy. In response, the diplomat assured the historian that TOT issues remain one of the priorities in Ukraine's communication with partners.
The historian transferred a copy of the study to the university library so that higher education students and everyone else could read it.
