On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, which is celebrated annually on 14 June, staff members and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, with the support of Rector Olena KARAMAN, joined the blood donation campaign “Every Drop of Blood Is an Act of Humanity. Donate Blood. Save Lives!”

The event was organised by the Marketing Department of LTSNU in cooperation with the Lubny Branch of the Poltava Regional Organisation of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, on the initiative of the branch head, Olena Pakhomova.

As part of the campaign, representatives of the university community donated blood, recognising the importance of supporting those who need help the most today. Donated blood saves the lives of wounded service members, patients in medical institutions, children, people with cancer, and many others who are fighting for their health and future every day.

The participation of university students and staff in this noble initiative once again demonstrated that education is not only about acquiring knowledge, but also about fostering civic responsibility, compassion, and a willingness to help others.

As a token of appreciation, each participant of the campaign received a Certificate of Appreciation and gifts from Olena Pakhomova, Head of the Lubny Branch of the Poltava Regional Organisation of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

We sincerely thank all faculties, structural units, staff members, and students who supported this initiative and made their contribution to saving human lives.
