Our University Holds Ceremonial Bachelor's Degree Presentation for Graduates in Lubny
This day became special for young specialists who successfully completed an important stage in their lives and received diplomas of higher education. The event was held in a warm, elevated and at the same time touching atmosphere, uniting students, teachers, parents, guests and friends of the university.
The celebrations began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine and honoring the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine, among whom are the Shevchenkos, who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our state.
A pleasant gift for those present was the performance of a serviceman of the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Crusade, a super-finalist of the show “Voice of the Country – 2023” Yurii Gorodetskyi, who with his talent and sincerity created a special holiday mood.
The graduates were addressed by Olena Karaman, Rector of our University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, and Professor. She congratulated the bachelor's graduates on completing their studies, emphasized the importance of education in times of war, and wished them every success in their professional careers, confidence in their abilities, and a steadfast commitment to serving Ukraine.
During the ceremony, special tribute was paid to Ukrainian service members. Graduates and members of the university community presented flowers to the defenders as a symbol of gratitude for their courage, resilience, and for making it possible to live and study under the Ukrainian sky.
Congratulatory remarks were also delivered by Tetiana Kachanenko, Head of the Lubny District Council; Yuliia Bilokin, Executive Affairs Manager of the Executive Committee of the Lubny City Council; and Father Volodymyr, Dean of the Lubny District of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and Rector of St. Panteleimon Church, who offered his blessing to the graduates for future achievements and good deeds.
The most anticipated moment of the ceremony was the presentation of bachelor's degrees. The first diplomas were awarded to Ukrainian service members who successfully combined defending their country with pursuing higher education. Their example stood as a testament to resilience, responsibility, and a commitment to personal growth even in the most challenging times.
Bachelor's degrees were awarded to graduates of the Educational and Research Institute of Business, Management and Public Administration; the Faculties of Pedagogy and Psychology, Health Care and Sports, Social and Humanitarian Sciences, Natural and Agrarian Sciences, and Technologies and Information Systems; as well as graduates of the University's Professional College and Starobilsk Professional College.
The festive atmosphere of the event was enhanced by performances from the Exemplary Circus Studio Maska, Viktoriia Ovcharenko, soloist of the Lubenka Folk Women's Vocal Ensemble, and the Karden Contemporary Dance Studio. Their performances became a highlight of the ceremony and created unforgettable memories for everyone in attendance.
Graduates also received heartfelt words of encouragement from the directors of the University's institutes, the deans of its faculties, and the heads of its colleges, who had supported them throughout their academic journey and professional development. On behalf of the graduating class, Yurii Horodetskyi, a serviceman and graduate of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, delivered a speech of gratitude. Having defended Ukraine for the past five years while successfully completing his university studies, he became a powerful symbol of resilience and dedication.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were presented to the creative groups that contributed to the celebration, and the event concluded with the Anthem of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
Today's bachelor's graduates represent a generation that pursued higher education during one of the most challenging periods in Ukraine's history. They have demonstrated that a genuine commitment to learning, perseverance, and love for their country can overcome even the greatest challenges. Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is proud of its graduates and is confident that each of them will become a worthy citizen of Ukraine, an accomplished professional, and a contributor to the future of a strong, free, and independent nation. We wish all our graduates continued success, peaceful skies, and every achievement in their personal and professional lives. Glory to Ukraine!
