The Eco-Psychological Recovery Center Continues Its Work in the Myrhorod Community
This time, the Center held a warm and meaningful meeting with internally displaced persons aged 60 and over, who regularly participate in the Center’s programmes and have previously taken part in psychological training sessions and practical activities.
In a trusting and friendly atmosphere, the participants talked, exchanged thoughts and impressions, and shared their life experiences. Such meetings are not only an opportunity to spend time with like-minded people, but also a chance to feel supported, to be heard, and to appreciate the importance of human attention, a kind word, and genuine warmth.
A special part of the event was an eco-art activity involving the creation of a traditional protective amulet using the dry-felting technique and natural wool, led by Nataliia Matsai, Head of the Center. Using different types of wool, the participants created unique items with their own hands, putting their imagination, creativity, and positive thoughts into their work.
The use of traditional crafts and natural materials as part of eco-psychological practices helps combine creativity with care for people’s emotional well-being. Focusing on the process of making an amulet, the tactile experience, working together, and informal communication all contribute to emotional release, reduced tension, and the restoration of inner resources.
Importantly, the participants reported improved well-being and reduced emotional fatigue and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to take part in recovery practices on a regular basis.
The event was organized by Nataliia Pavlova, the Center’s Technical Coordinator. Its programme combined an ecological approach, elements of folk art, and emotional recovery practices.
Such meetings once again demonstrate that nature has a special power to bring people together, inspire them, and create a sense of harmony. Creativity, sincere communication, and mutual support help people find strength in difficult life circumstances, restore emotional balance, and create space for positive emotions.
The Eco-Psychological Recovery Center continues its work, creating a space of trust, care, and humanity where nature becomes a source of inspiration, creativity brings people together, and support helps restore inner strength.
