On May 21, on the occasion of Vyshyvanka Day, a warm and meaningful meeting “Threads of Unity” was held at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology with a native of Lubny, a master of cross-stitch embroidery, Nadia Virych. The thematic meeting was held in a mixed format and united everyone who respects Ukrainian culture, traditions and the art of folk embroidery. The event was a wonderful opportunity to touch Ukrainian folk traditions, feel the beauty and symbolism of Ukrainian embroidery.
During the meeting, the craftswoman shared the story of her creative path, talked about the peculiarities of cross-stitch embroidery, the meaning of ornaments and colors in traditional Ukrainian embroidery. The participants of the event had the opportunity to get acquainted with the craftswoman's original works, which impressed with their skill, originality and love for Ukrainian culture.
Of particular interest was the practical part of the meeting, during which those present learned about the secrets of creating embroidered products and were able to ask the craftswoman questions.
