"Starobilsk: Chronicles of Resistance and Experience of Solidarity"
The event was held at the capital's Dovzhenko Center on the initiative of the Starobilsk District State Administration.
The event was dedicated to the anniversary of the founding of the Luhansk region, the invincibility of the Ukrainian spirit and the development of the international volunteer movement. The event brought together representatives of the authorities, international donors, charitable organizations, educators and cultural figures to preserve the identity of the Luhansk region and coordinate efforts for its future restoration. Representatives of the American volunteer community also joined the event online.
The participants viewed the photo exhibition "Living Memory" and a video chronicle of the first days of the full-scale invasion, which reflected the civil resistance of the residents of Starobilshchyna to Russian aggression. The memory of the fallen defenders and civilians was honored with a minute of silence.
During the discussion block, strategic issues of the future of Luhansk region, the reconstruction of deoccupied territories and the transition to systemic development projects were discussed. Special attention was paid to the preservation of Luhansk region in the national discourse and support for youth.
Summing up the discussion, the first vice-rector, chairman of the Academic Council, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Vitalii Semyonovych Kurylo emphasized the importance of preserving our genetic code, historical memory and the struggle for the future of youth, which should become the driving force of the revival of Luhansk region after the victory of Ukraine.
The participation of representatives of LTSNU in such events is evidence of the active position of the university community in preserving historical memory, supporting the unity of Ukrainian society, and consolidating international solidarity for the future restoration of the Luhansk region and all of Ukraine.
