Expanding the Horizons of Cooperation with the National Forestry University of Ukraine
The speaker of the event was Natalia Matsai, Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Agrarian Sciences, Head of the Center for Ecological and Psychological Recovery of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. This meeting became a significant milestone in the development of partnership relations between our institutions, which have been ongoing since 2021 and received new impetus thanks to the recent renegotiation of the cooperation agreement.
During the lecture, the practical experience of our Center was presented, in particular, modern approaches to ecological and psychological work based on the use of the restorative potential of nature. Students were introduced to innovative tools for supporting mental health, which have been proven by many years of experience in the conditions of the relocation of the institution in 2014. Special attention was paid to the eco-orientation of the professional training of future psychologists.
This format of interaction allowed students to see the real application of theoretical knowledge and expand their ideas about future professional activities based on an eco-centric approach. In addition to the exchange of experience, prospects for further joint work were outlined within the framework of the updated agreement, which will include practical classes, joint scientific events and the involvement of students in volunteer initiatives with an ecological basis. This meeting emphasized that the synergy of our universities contributes to strengthening the connection between education and practice, forming in future specialists sustainability and a deep understanding of the harmonious interaction of man with the environment.
