In civilian life, Serhii is a mathematics teacher. One month before Russia’s full-scale invasion, he signed a military contract and exchanged the classroom for the front line. His most important equation became the defence of every one of us.

During an open and sincere question-and-answer session, Serhii moved and inspired everyone present. He spoke candidly about his difficult journey from teacher to commander, his serious injury, and the fierce battles for our freedom near Bakhmut and Soledar. He also shared memories of the first losses among his fellow service members and spoke about his military deployment to Germany, where he trained to defend his country according to the highest standards.

This meeting was a powerful lesson in courage, bravery, and resilience.

Captain, thank you for defending us, for your sincerity, and for holding the sky above us!

Our deepest respect to all the defenders of Ukraine! Thank you for making it possible for us to study and live!
