Online Career Guidance Meeting with Pupils of Educational Institutions of the Seversko-Donetsk District of the Luhansk Region
On May 6, 2026, in order to organize career guidance work, high-quality preparation of graduates for choosing a future educational institution, familiarize young people with the history of the development of education in the Luhansk region, and popularize the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, an online meeting was held with the 10–11th grade pupils of educational institutions of the Seversko-Donetsk district of the Luhansk region.
The event was held in the format of a round table with the participation of teachers and management of our university. The speaker of the meeting was Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of History and Archaeology of LTSNU Oleksandr Naboka, and the event was moderated by the Head of the Marketing Department Yevheniia Kulyk.
The meeting began with a career guidance block, during which the rector of the university, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Olena Karaman addressed the participants. In her speech, she introduced the audience to the activities of the university, its educational opportunities, modern specialties, and prospects for young students, and also invited future applicants to join our large university family.
During the event, participants watched a video presentation of the university's educational and scientific institutes, faculties, and specialties.
After the presentation, pupils had the opportunity to ask questions about the admissions campaign, the specifics of study, and student life, and received comprehensive answers from university representatives.
After the career guidance part, the floor was given to Oleksandr Naboka, who gave a meaningful and informative lecture on the topic: "Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. 100 years of Ukrainian education in Luhansk Region." The participants learned about the historical path of the university, its role in the formation of Ukrainian education in the region, the preservation of educational traditions, and the indomitability of the university community even in the most difficult times.
Such meetings are an important component of the career guidance work of LTSNU, as they help young people consciously choose their future profession, discover new opportunities for themselves, and feel an inextricable connection with Ukrainian education, history, and culture of the Luhansk region.
