On June 11, 2026, the local forum “Education, Government, Business: Synergy for the Future” was held at Tustan Lyceum of the Dubivtsi Village Council in Ivano-Frankivsk Region. The event was dedicated to summarizing the results of the first stage of implementing a career guidance system for children and youth within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian DECIDE Project.
The forum brought together representatives of educational institutions, local self-government bodies, businesses, public organizations, and partner institutions working jointly to create an effective system of career guidance and professional self-determination for young people.
Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University was represented at the forum by Acting Dean of the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, Doctor of Philology, Professor Artem Halych, and Candidate of Sciences in Social Communications, Associate Professor of the Departments of Primary Education, Ukrainian Language, and Journalism, Olha Kutsevska.
ЛDuring the event, the university representatives presented the educational opportunities offered by Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University, introduced participants to its modern educational programs and specialties, and spoke about the advantages of studying at the university, prospects for students’ professional development, the institution’s international activities, and opportunities for student involvement in academic, creative, and public life.
Special attention was paid to the university’s career guidance work with communities and educational institutions in the Prykarpattia region. Forum participants had the opportunity to learn about the admission campaign, ask questions about studying, and receive consultations regarding their future career choices.
During the forum, Head of the Dubivtsi Territorial Community Pavlo Andrusiak emphasized the importance of early career guidance and the need to create conditions for informed professional choice. Oksana Kalynchuk, Director of the Center for Children and Youth Leisure of the Dubivtsi Village Council, shared her experience in implementing career guidance initiatives.
The community’s partners also presented their achievements, including Goodvalley Ukraine, Krumix LLC, Burshtyn Trade and Economic Professional College of DTEU, Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, and the 7th Artillery Brigade “Hrehit” of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Khartiia.” Participants discussed the results of career guidance excursions, joint educational activities, and prospects for further cooperation.
One of the most touching moments of the forum was the presentation by 8th and 9th grade students of Tustan Lyceum, who shared their impressions of participating in career guidance activities and meeting representatives of various professions.
A particularly rewarding outcome of the event was the high appreciation expressed by the Dubivtsi Village Council and the community’s Department of Education for the activities of Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University. In a letter of gratitude addressed to the Rector of the University, Olena Karaman, community representatives expressed sincere appreciation for the university’s cooperation and support of career guidance initiatives for young people. In particular, they highlighted the university’s significant contribution to strengthening cooperation with the community and establishing an educational and consulting center in Mariiampil, which creates new opportunities for students’ professional self-determination and promotes quality higher education among young people.
The participation of Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University in the forum became another important step in strengthening partnerships between educational institutions and territorial communities aimed at supporting young people, expanding their educational opportunities, and fostering conscious professional development.

We are convinced that through the joint efforts of education, government, business, and civil society, it is possible to create new opportunities for the development of Ukraine’s younger generation.
