Final Certification of Bachelor's Students in the Educational Program "Commodity Science and Expertise in Customs Affairs"
On June 25-26, the Department of Commodity Science and Trade Entrepreneurship held a final certification of applicants for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education in specialties 076 "Entrepreneurship, Trade and Stock Exchange Activities" and 076 "Entrepreneurship and Trade" under the educational program "Commodity Studies and Expertise in Customs Affairs".
The final certification of students took place in the form of a public defense of qualification works. During the certification, students demonstrated an appropriate level of theoretical and practical training, the ability to apply modern methods of scientific research, analyze current problems in the field of entrepreneurship, trade, commodity expertise and customs activities, as well as justify practical ways to solve them. The submitted qualification works were distinguished by the relevance of the chosen topic, practical orientation, scientific validity and orientation to improving professional activity in the relevant areas. Under the guidance of scientific mentors, applicants prepared thorough research devoted to important challenges of the modern development of entrepreneurship, trade, foreign economic activity, expert support of goods and export potential of Ukraine.
The topic of qualification works covered a wide range of topical issues related to commodity expertise, customs clearance, customs tariff and non-tariff regulation of foreign economic activity. The students studied the features of the examination and movement across the customs border of Ukraine of both food products, in particular "Grisini" bread sticks, chocolate candies, quinoa, surimi products, canned meat, butter and semi-hard cheeses, and non-food products - women's sports shoes, dishwashing detergents, mouthwashes, batteries, tweezers for contact lenses and night vision devices. The presented studies were aimed at analyzing the modern range of goods, determining their identification features, assessing quality and safety, studying the features of documentary support for foreign economic operations, as well as the application of tariff and non-tariff regulation measures during the import and export of goods.
An important component of ensuring the quality of the preparation of qualification works was their external review by leading specialists in the field of commodity examination, customs, gemological, automotive and economic research, as well as scientific and pedagogical workers of higher education institutions of Ukraine.
Representatives of the scientific research expert and forensic centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, in particular the Lviv and Poltava NDEKC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, as well as specialists of the specialized departments of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, the Lviv University of Trade and Economics and other institutions were involved in the review. The involvement of candidates of technical sciences, professors, associate professors, chief forensic experts and leading practitioners in the review made it possible to ensure an objective assessment of the research results, to confirm their relevance, practical significance and compliance with modern requirements for professional training of specialists in the field of commodity science, commodity examination and customs regulation.
The examination committee noted the high level of preparation of graduates, their readiness to carry out professional activities in the field of commodity science, commodity examination, customs regulation and foreign economic activity. The formation of general and professional competencies provided for by the educational program was separately emphasized. According to the results of the final certification, the graduates of higher education were awarded the educational qualification of bachelors in: entrepreneurship, trade and exchange activities, entrepreneurship and trade, as well as commodity science and commercial activities.
The Department of Commodity Science and Trade Entrepreneurship sincerely congratulates the graduates on the successful completion of their studies and wishes them professional self-realization, career growth, creative inspiration, new achievements and significant achievements in the development and economic development of Ukraine.
