Education: Issues of Theory and Practice (Natural Sciences)
As part of the annual International Scientific and Practical Conference Science Days – 2026 (natural and agrarian sciences, education), a meeting of the section dedicated to the issues of theory and methodology of teaching natural sciences, organization of extracurricular and extracurricular work was held. The event became part of the International Scientific and Practical Conference Science Days – 2026. The conference was officially opened by Olena KARAMAN, rector of our University, corresponding member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor. In her welcoming speech, she emphasized the importance of preserving scientific heritage and developing new educational standards even in difficult times for the country.
The scientific part of the meeting covered a wide range of topical topics. Oleksandr LIAKH, Deputy Director for NVR, Geography and Technology Teacher of Myrhorod Gymnasium No. 2 "Helikon" of Myrhorod City Council, Poltava Region, revealed the issue of metaphorization of natural processes as a tool for psychologically comfortable formative assessment. Svitlana MARCHENKO, Biology Teacher of the Supporting Educational Institution Myrhorod Gymnasium No. 3 of Myrhorod City Council, Poltava Region, shared her experience of using simple biological experiments to attract students to science through lively interest. Oleksandr GLUSCHCHENKO, Chemistry Teacher of the Supporting Educational Institution "Myrhorod Gymnasium No. 3", demonstrated the possibilities of digitalization and creation of an interactive research space in chemistry lessons.
Anastasia BALACKA, a chemistry and biology teacher at the Trudolyubivska Gymnasium of the Myrhorod City Council of Poltava Region, presented her own recipes for a successful lesson and practical findings in the natural sciences. Natalia SYUZEVA, a biology teacher at the Myrhorod Gymnasium No. 7 named after O. Oksanchenko of the Myrhorod City Council of Poltava Region, highlighted the issue of implementing STEM technologies for the development of critical thinking. Special emphasis was placed on the interaction of science and society. Halyna EVTUSHENKO, head of the Department of Biology and Agronomy of LTSNU, candidate of agricultural sciences, associate professor, spoke about the potential of citizen science in monitoring biodiversity, and Natalia TUZENKO, head of the natural sciences group at the Center for Extracurricular Education of the Myrhorod City Council, presented modern experience in environmental education in extracurricular education.
The meeting concluded with a ceremonial ceremony of awarding certificates. The organizers expressed their sincere gratitude to Anzhelika KHOMENKO for her hospitality and assistance in organizing the event at the Center for Aesthetic Education. A joint photo of the participants testified to the high level of professional unity and the desire for innovative development of Ukrainian education.
