National Forum on Open Science and Improving Research Evaluation
During the discussion, Oleksandra Liashenko, who was the only representative from Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, drew attention to one of the key dilemmas of modern open science - finding a balance between the maximum dissemination of scientific knowledge and the need to take security risks into account. The question she raised concerned where the line is drawn between the openness of research data and responsibility for the possible consequences of their use, particularly in the context of national security challenges.
