Media Dialogue of Young Researchers
The event was held in a working but relaxed atmosphere of lively discussion and professional interest. The work of the media club was led by Associate Professor of the Department A.M. Nosko, who set the tone for the discussion and supported the activity of the participants.
This time, the main attention was focused on student scientific and practical developments in the field of media. Students of the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Sciences made reports. Dmytro Kanishchev, Yuliia Kanishcheva, Oleksandr Nikolaienko and Kateryna Ostapets presented their research. Each of them chose a topical topic related to modern trends in journalism, new formats for presenting information and the challenges that media professionals face today.
The reports were diverse. They discussed the peculiarities of working with the audience in the digital environment, the role of fact-checking in the conditions of information overload, and the transformation of journalistic standards.
After each report, a discussion took place. Participants asked questions, shared their own observations, and sometimes debated. This added dynamics to the meeting and allowed us to look at the topics raised from different angles. The head of the media club drew attention to the strengths of the presentations, while correctly pointing out points that need improvement.
The meeting was another step towards the formation of professional competencies of future journalists. It showed that students not only master the theory, but also try to understand real processes in the media sphere. Such meetings contribute to the development of critical thinking, the ability to argue their position, and work in a team.
The participants agreed to continue the practice of scientific and professional discussions in the future, because it is in this format that learning, experience and live communication are best combined.
