Design and Reporting Workshops
On May 11, the Faculty of Arts held a master class in graphic design for Poltava City Multidisciplinary Lyceum No. 1 named after I. P. Kotliarevskyi.
The Lyceum hosts a scientific internship. The practical and modern master class was conducted by Oleksandr Shpetny, a teacher at the Department of Design and Media Production. The students worked in Figma, one of the most popular services for creating design and media projects. During the class, the lyceum students got acquainted with the main tools of the program, learned how to create layouts, work with graphic elements, fonts, and composition.
With great enthusiasm, the students created their own design works, tried themselves as real media designers and discovered new possibilities of modern digital technologies.
Iryna Prodan, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Olha Kostiuk, Head of the Department of Design and Media Production, also helped in the master class.
On May 14, the Faculty of Arts held two master classes for the lyceum: on graphic design and audiovisual art.
A modern practical master class on working with graphic tablets was organized for young artists, which was conducted by Natalia Dihtiar - Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts, artist; Inna Gurzhiy - Head of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts, artist-ceramicist, Honored Artist of Ukraine; Oksana Hetman - Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of Design and Media Production, as well as students Varvara Grabovska, Viktoriia Honcharova and Valeria Umanska.
The students got acquainted with the possibilities of digital art, learned to create illustrations using special programs, worked with graphic tablets and discovered new creative tools for themselves.
Philologists, together with Honored Journalist of Ukraine, lecturer of the Department of Design and Media Production Anatolii Mishin and lecturer Alona Tereshchenko, mastered the intricacies of journalistic activity. Students learned how to properly hold themselves in the frame, work in front of the camera, clearly and confidently express their thoughts, use voice, facial expressions and gestures, and also got acquainted with the basics of creating high-quality media content and the peculiarities of a journalist's work.
Students Margarita Shapovalova and Valeriia Herasimova demonstrated how the digitization and processing of filmed material takes place, shared practical advice and peculiarities of work in the field of media production.
New knowledge, modern technologies, practical experience and vivid impressions are exactly what motivates lyceum students to develop and opens up new opportunities for creative and professional growth.
