Special emphasis was placed on creating new opportunities for support, rehabilitation and professional self-realization of war veterans and their family members, as well as on the development of a modern veteran space, where education will become an important tool for adaptation to peaceful life.
The participants of the meeting discussed the possibilities of involving university students in volunteer activities at the hospital, implementing joint social projects, conducting educational events, trainings and internships. Special attention was paid to the issues of professional training of future specialists in the fields of psychology, social work, health care, rehabilitation and pedagogy, who will be able to gain practical experience working with veterans and their family members.
At the end of the visit, Ihor Kopanitsyn visited the university media studio, where he gave an interview about the hospital's activities, modern challenges of veteran policy, areas of cooperation with the university, and the importance of supporting Ukrainian defenders.
