Our University Joins Recreational Sports Competition for People with Disabilities
Representatives of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University - including staff members of the Marketing Department and students - once again joined the organization and delivery of the event at the invitation of Tetiana Hordiienko, Head of the Lubny District Branch of the All-Ukrainian Union of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities.
For LTSNU, participation in such events has become a valued tradition. The University has repeatedly served as a reliable partner and volunteer in initiatives that promote inclusion and community engagement. This year's event brought together around 100 participants from the Poltava region and other parts of Ukraine, becoming a true celebration of resilience, unity, and mutual support.
The team of LTSNU worked side by side with the organizers, assisting with participant coordination, event support, and various organizational matters. Throughout the competition, volunteers provided support and encouragement, doing their best to ensure that every participant felt valued, respected, and cared for.
On behalf of the thousands of members of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University community, Tetiana Demianchuk delivered welcoming remarks to the participants. She emphasized that every competitor was already a winner, as they demonstrated resilience, determination, and confidence in their abilities. She also highlighted that the University has always upheld the values of inclusion, equality, and accessibility, making support for such initiatives an important part of its social mission.
Participation in initiatives like this helps strengthen the University’s partnerships with public organizations and local communities while fostering a sense of responsibility, empathy, and civic engagement among students. Through such collaborative efforts, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University not only promotes the principles of an inclusive society but also helps educate a generation of compassionate individuals who are ready to support those in need and work together to build a society of equal opportunities.
