LTSNU Joined the Event of Unity and Prayer on the Occasion of Ukrainian Statehood Day
The solemn event took place in Lubny near the memorial sign "Independent Ukraine" and brought together representatives of the authorities, local governments, educators, students, the public, as well as students, teachers, employees and management of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
With a minute of silence, the participants honored the memory of all fighters who gave their lives for the freedom, independence and statehood of Ukraine in different historical periods.
The attendees were addressed by Lubny Mayor Oleksandr HRYTSAIENKO and Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Olena KARAMAN, who emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory, national unity, and the responsibility of each citizen for the future of their state.
A particularly moving part of the event was a joint prayer held by representatives of different religious denominations of the Lubny urban territorial community. The participants prayed for the Ukrainian soldiers who are defending our state today, for their families, for all who suffered from the war, as well as for the peace, well-being, and prosperity of Ukraine.
At the end, those present laid flowers at the memorial sign “Independent Ukraine” as a symbol of respect for those who created, defended, and continue to defend Ukrainian statehood.
Such events are an important reminder of the deep historical roots of Ukrainian statehood, the spiritual unity of our people, and the indomitability of its desire for freedom. They unite different generations around common values, strengthen faith in Victory and inspire further work for a strong, independent and peaceful Ukraine.
