"Step to Antarctica: The Colors of the White Continent"
The exhibition was organized by the Faculty of Natural and Agrarian Sciences in cooperation with the Marketing Department and the University Library staff. The first visitors to the exhibition were students of the Professional College, the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, as well as teachers and staff of LTSNU.
During the opening, the university's leading librarian Oksana Shevchik read out Serhii Hlotov's address to the students and introduced the attendees to his scientific and professional activities. Serhii Hlotov is a candidate of biological sciences, volunteer, photographer, participant of the 27th and 28th Ukrainian Antarctic expeditions, a graduate of LTSNU, and currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology.
Visitors had the opportunity to see unique photographs taken near the Ukrainian Antarctic Station "Akademik Vernadskyi" and briefly immerse themselves in the special atmosphere of the white continent - harsh, but at the same time strikingly beautiful and inspiring.
There was the opportunity to try on a real polar explorer's suit, which allowed the participants to experience the working conditions of researchers in Antarctica even more deeply and to touch the world of science and discoveries.
The photo exhibition became not only an artistic event, but also a powerful source of inspiration for young people, as it demonstrates how perseverance, knowledge and love for science open the way to world research. It once again confirms that our graduates are able to conquer the most remote corners of the planet, leaving a significant mark in science and popularizing Ukraine in the world.
