International Nordplus Adult Project "Art of Helping"
Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Sociology Kateryna Kotelenets joined the next stage of the implementation of the international Nordplus Adult project "Art of Helping". The main goal of this initiative is to strengthen the psychological resilience and restore the internal resources of people who have dedicated themselves to helping others.
From May 11 to 13, a meeting of teams of diaconal organizations from Latvia, Estonia and Finland took place in the city of Tartu (Estonia). Within the framework of the event, the participants continued active work on the project's training modules. Key areas of work of the seminars:
Psychological health: development and testing of modules dedicated to maintaining the mental state in difficult life situations.
Constructive future: formation of a positive and effective vision of prospects for professionals in the supporting professions.
Feedback analysis: a detailed analysis of feedback from participants of local pilot seminars held at the day centers of partner organizations.
Thanks to the involvement of Kateryna Kotelenets’ expert scientific experience, the project receives a deep sociological and philosophical foundation for further development. Very soon the results of this work will be implemented in practice — visitors will be invited to new pilot seminars in day centers, including for Ukrainians who moved from the war to the EU.
