The Social Pedagogy Department Joined the Project Implementation
The project is implemented by the NGO "Youth Platform" with the support of UNICEF and funding from the Government of Germany through the German State Development Bank (KfW).
As part of the project, the university developed and implemented an elective educational component "Youth Policy and Youth Work". The course was developed and taught by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Nataliia Leonidivna Otroshchenko and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Nataliia Oleksandrivna Ostrovska.
Students who successfully mastered the academic discipline received grant support and implemented a scientific study on the topic "Socio-psychological factors of professional self-determination of young people in Lubny in conditions of uncertainty: needs, barriers and support mechanisms". The purpose of the study was to study the features of professional self-determination of young people, identify the main difficulties they face when choosing a professional path, and search for effective mechanisms to support this process.
The practical result of the study was the creation of a career guidance web resource designed to help young people choose a future profession and plan their career development. On the site, users have the opportunity to take a career guidance test, determine their own professional interests and inclinations, receive recommendations for choosing a specialty, get information about educational and career opportunities, and learn about available forms of professional support and counseling.
The created web resource was integrated into the website of the Career Development Center of the State Educational Institution "Luhansk National Taras Shevchenko University" - Career Development Center of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University: https://lnk.ua/Fs9OWubuy.
The development of a career guidance website has become a successful example of the practical implementation of the results of student scientific research. The created resource will contribute to the professional self-determination of young people, increase their level of awareness of educational and career opportunities and help in making informed decisions regarding future professional activities.
