Historical and Patriotic Session “Shadows of Babyn Yar: Voices That Have Not Fallen Silent”
The event was intended not only to remind students of the historical facts but also to convey to the younger generation the profound pain and sorrow experienced by the Ukrainian people. During the session, participants watched documentary materials, listened to accounts of people whose lives were brutally cut short at Babyn Yar, and discussed the importance of tolerance and humanity in the modern world.
“Shadows of Babyn Yar” is not simply history; it is a collection of voices that have not fallen silent. They live on in the memory of future generations, calling for peace, unity, and strength of spirit.
The event concluded with the “Light a Candle of Remembrance” initiative. Students and teachers lit candles and observed a minute of silence in memory of all those who perished at Babyn Yar.
