III All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference
On April 22, 2026, the III All-Ukrainian Student-Teacher Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation “Primary School in the New Educational Reality: Traditions and Innovations, Problems and Prospects” was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. The event was organized by the Primary Education Department of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology.
The conference was co-organized by leading Ukrainian higher education institutions and educational institutions, including the Oleksandr Dovzhenko Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University, the Kharkiv Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy, the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, Mariupol State University, the International Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute "Beit Khana" (Dnipro), the Volodymyr Hnatiuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University, centers for professional development of pedagogical workers of the Ivano-Frankivsk and Odesa regions, as well as the Yaroslav the Wise Ukrainian School (Brussels, Belgium).
The conference was attended by scientists, lecturers, teachers, postgraduate students, master's students and students, who presented the results of their research and exchanged practical experience.
Representatives of the university administration and the scientific and pedagogical community addressed the participants with welcoming words. Within the framework of the plenary session, reports were presented on modern approaches to training future primary school teachers, features of the organization of the educational process in Ukrainian schools abroad, as well as the use of digital tools and gamification in teaching.
The participants discussed current issues of primary education, in particular, the introduction of interactive technologies in literacy teaching, the formation of students' financial literacy and overcoming reading difficulties in primary school age. Special attention was paid to the role of children's literature and reading aloud in the development of children's speech.
Following the conference, it is planned to publish a collection of scientific papers. The participants noted the high level of organization of the event, its practical value and importance for the development of modern primary education, and also expressed interest in continuing such scientific cooperation in the future.
