September 1st always symbolizes a new start, new dreams, discoveries and opportunities. Today, when Ukraine continues to fight for its freedom, independence and future, education takes on special significance. Knowledge becomes our strength, responsibility is our support, and the desire to develop and work for the sake of Ukraine is everyone's contribution to the common Victory.

We would like to address special words of greetings to our first-year students. You are part of a large university community that has been preserving the traditions of Ukrainian education, science, culture and service to society for over a century. May the years of study at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University be a time of professional development, bold ideas, true friendship and important life decisions for you.

We thank the university's teachers and staff for their dedication, resilience, and daily work. Despite all the challenges of wartime, our university continues to teach, develop, support young people, and confidently look to the future.

With deep gratitude, we remember the defenders of Ukraine, thanks to whose courage we have the opportunity to teach and study, work, make plans, and create the future of our state. A bright memory to those who gave the most precious thing for Ukraine — their lives. A low bow to those who defend our land today.

We wish the entire university community a peaceful and successful academic year, strength of spirit, inspiration, new knowledge, significant achievements, and faith in one's own strength.
