1st Round of the All-Ukrainian Student Research Paper Competition
The Department of Ukrainian Language and Journalism and the Department of Literary Studies and Oriental Philology held the 1st round of the traditional All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers on the Ukrainian language and literature with the methodology of their teaching among students of the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Sciences majoring in “Secondary Education (Ukrainian Language and Literature)” and the 1st round of the traditional All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers on journalism – among students majoring in “Journalism”.
The competition lasted throughout February 2026. The bachelor’s students majoring in 014.01 “Secondary Education (Ukrainian Language and Literature)” and 061 “Journalism” took part in the competition. Four papers on the Ukrainian language and methodology of its teaching and three papers on journalism were submitted for participation in the competition.
The industry competition commission determined the best works of the 1st round (university) All-Ukrainian student research paper competition in 2025/2026 academic year in the field of “Ukrainian language and literature (with teaching methods)”. Among the works on the Ukrainian language and teaching methods, the following took prize places:
1st place – Yuliia Kanishcheva, a 4th-year student of the EP “Ukrainian language and literature”;
2nd place – Karina Shevchenko, a 4th-year student of the EP “Ukrainian language and literature”, and Alona Symonenko , a 4th-year student of the EP “Ukrainian language and literature. Language and literature (English)”;
3rd place – Nataliia Kucherenko and Valentyna Buriak, 4th-year students of the EP “Ukrainian language and literature”.
The competition commission in the field of “Journalism” considered the reviews and determined the best works of the 1st round (university) All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in 2025/2026 academic year. Among the works in journalism, the following took prize places:
1st place – Kateryna Ostapets, 4th year student;
2nd place – Mykola Vengerenko, 3rd year student;
3rd place – Yana Ovcharenko, 3rd year student.
Congratulations to the students of educational programs of specialties 014.01 “Secondary education. (Ukrainian language and literature)” and 061 “Journalism” – the winners of the first round (university) All-Ukrainian competition of student research papers in 2025/2026 academic year. We wish future philologists further success in learning the Ukrainian language and literature, and future journalists – in acquiring journalistic skills.
