The priority areas of scientific research at the State Institution “Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University” have been determined in accordance with Resolution No. 476 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated April 30, 2024 “On the Approval of the List of Priority Thematic Areas for Scientific Research and Scientific and Technical Development for the Period Until December 31 of the Year Following the Termination or Revocation of Martial Law in Ukraine,” the university’s strategic development goals, the current needs of Ukrainian society, European integration processes, and the prospects for Ukraine’s post-war recovery.
The university’s scientific activities are based on the principles of interdisciplinarity, academic integrity, open science, social responsibility, and international cooperation. Particular attention is focused on conducting research whose results will contribute to the development of human potential, the strengthening of societal resilience, the recovery of local communities and regions, the modernization of education, and Ukraine’s integration into the European Research Area.
