Call for Applications to Participate in the Election of the Chair of the Council of Young Scientists
Dear young researchers, postgraduate students, and students of the University!
The Council of Young Scientists and Students is preparing to elect its Chair and invites proactive members of the university community to join its work. We are announcing an opportunity for self-nomination so that anyone who meets the requirements of the Regulations on the Council of Young Scientists and Students of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” can put forward their candidacy and present their vision for the Council’s development.
Serving as Chair of the Council provides an opportunity to develop leadership skills, contribute to the development of youth research at the University, represent the interests of young researchers, initiate academic events and projects, and establish cooperation with partners in Ukraine and abroad.
We invite candidates who:
have an active academic position and experience in research or research-related organizational activities;
uphold the principles of academic integrity;
possess organizational, communication, and leadership skills;
have a vision for the development of the University’s Council of Young Scientists and Higher Education Students.
What should be prepared?
To put forward your candidacy, please submit:
A CV indicating your position or year of study, research interests, main publications, participation in grants and conferences, and organizational and community experience.
A motivation letter of up to two pages addressing:
why you want to chair the Council;
what achievements and experience will help you in this role;
how you envision the Council’s development, including priority activities, new formats of work, ways of engaging young people, and expanding partnerships.

Submission deadline: October 4, 2026, inclusive.
The submitted materials will allow Council members to learn about the candidates and their proposals. The election of the Chair of the Council will be conducted in accordance with the electoral procedure established by the Regulations on the Council of Young Scientists and Students of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University,” by means of a vote.
