The priority areas of the call include:

•          sustainable development and renewable energy systems in times of crisis;

•          artificial intelligence and machine learning for defence applications;

•          development of innovative cybersecurity systems;

•          biological and genetic engineering technologies;

•          advanced electronics and innovative materials for defence purposes.

The call aims to support new joint Ukrainian-Latvian research projects with a duration of up to two years. An essential requirement for participation is the involvement of a Latvian partner, who must submit a corresponding application to the relevant funding organization in Latvia.

Applications must be submitted through the National Electronic Scientific Information System. The deadline for submission of application documents is 10 July 2026, 12:00 (Kyiv time).
